the little “name-ah” thing

here’s a couple of rules to adding -ah next to your bias’s name (ex. Seunghyun-ah).

• you can only add -ah IF your bias’s name ends with a consonant (ex. JiyonG-ah). if your biase’s name ends with a vowel, add -yah instead (ex. SeungrI-yah). count “h” as a vowel (ex. HyunaH-yah).
• “-ah” is not a sign of ~romantic language~. adding -ah to a name does NOT indicate more love.
• You cannot say “Siwon-ah is cooking,” because “Siwon-ah” means like ”Siwon, [comma]” (unless used by itself, like ”Siwon-ah!”). So basically you’d be saying “Siwon, is cooking,” which wouldnt make sense, right?
• Always add -ah or -yah when calling out a name by itself (ex. Joon-ah!). Don’t say the name by itself without the -ah as we do in english. Unless 1. thats your little lovey dovey name code or whatever, OR 2. that person is deaf and youre calling that person over and over (ex. Jaejoong-ah! Jaejoong-ah! Jaejoong!)
• You only add -ah when you are addressing the person directly. (ex. Taecyeon-ah, can you cook for me?, Chansung-ah, give me the remote.) Never when talking in 3rd person (DO NOT SAY: Nickhun-ah is giving me a blowjob.)
• You only add -ah when you are addressing someone the same age as you OR younger than you. NEVER. EVER. EVERRRRRRRR someone older than you. (ex. Taemin can’t say Jonghyun-ah, Jiyong can’t say TOP-ah.)
